What is ColdCalcs?
A set of preliminary sizing calculators for industrial refrigeration equipment: PRELIM (ASME VIII-1 vessel wall-thickness sizing), Vessel Sizer, HPR/Thermosyphon Sizer, and the Coil Suite (Subcooler, Boil-out, and Heat Recovery). You enter your inputs and the calculator returns the computed results on screen.
Do I have to pay to see results?
No. Full on-screen results for every calculator are free for every user, signed in or not, on every plan — on-screen results are never metered or paywalled.
What do Pro and report credits actually unlock?
Every calculator’s full on-screen results are free on every plan. A report credit buys one PDF export of one calculation, and regenerating that same calculation’s PDF later is free. Pro is a subscription: unlimited PDF exports, saved projects, and all four tools.

Do I still need a professional engineer to review the results?
Yes, always. Every calculator carries this notice:
“Preliminary sizing for engineering evaluation only. Not for construction. All results must be independently verified by a qualified engineer against the applicable code edition.”
ColdCalcs does not perform, and does not claim to perform, PE review, PE sealing, or code certification of any result.
How is my data handled?
Calculations run entirely in your browser. Saved projects — available on Pro — are stored only for signed-in users; nothing is saved or stored for the free, no-account tier.
